Happiness - 26th Sunday in OT - September 29th, 2019

Do you want to be happy?  What do we mean by happiness?  We all desire it, but we seem to have different ideas of what would make us happy.  Listen to my homily and learn about the levels of happiness.

Padre Pio and Confession Talk - September 23rd, 2019

St. Pio of Pietrelcina (Padre Pio) spent long hours in the confessional.  He loved so much that he would want to be available for the long lines of people seeking him out to hear their confessions.  Listen to my talk on Padre Pio and Confessions to learn more about both!

Padre Pio and Confession Talk

Unfortunately the original last 7 minutes of the talk were not recorded due to technical difficulties.  However, the content of those last 7 minutes were recorded at a later date following the original 33 minutes of the talk that were recorded.

Saint Padre Pio, pray for us!

Diamond Thieves and Dishonest Steward - 25th Sunday in OT - September 22nd, 2019

On February 15, 2003 in Belgium there was what was called the world’s biggest diamond heist.  Thieves stole an estimated $100 million worth of diamonds.  They managed to by-pass 10 layers of security to steal from the diamond vault.  This included a 3 ton 1-foot-thick vault door, combination lock with over 100 million possible combinations, a nearly impossible to duplicate foot long key, a magnetic sensor, a light senor, a heat/motion sensor, a metal grate, and two security cameras.  While I don’t promote stealing, I must admit that I was impressed by this robbery.  Listen to my homily to learn more.

God Seeks Us Out and Desires Reconciliation - 24th Sunday in OT - September 15th, 2019

Through His parables of mercy, Jesus is telling sinners, "Don't be afraid of turning back to God." We could feel ourselves lost like the sheep, distant like the prodigal son, but Jesus takes the first step and does not rest until he finds the one that was lost. He is the savior of sinners.  Listen to my homily to learn more!

Humility - 22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time - September 1st, 2019

I humbly present my homily on humility.  Listen as I use my niece as an example of humility.  Hear about humility as it was presented in our readings.  Listen to what saints said about what humility is.  Hear some practical examples of how to grow in humility.  Then, think of one way that you will try to grow in this virtue as we all continue our journey to the ultimate goal of heaven.

In all humility, I couldn't find a good picture.  So I took one of the written form of the homily...
