After Mass in the Grotto, we went to the Church of the Assumption, where we saw the Tomb of Mary. This site was next to the Grotto of Gethsemane. Then we saw the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations, which has the rock surface believed to be the place where Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane. Next, was the Chapel of the Ascension, which was built over the place where Jesus ascended into Heaven. Then, the Church of Pater Noster, where we recalled the teaching of the Our Father. We walked down Palm Sunday Road. We stopped at Dominus Flevit, where Jesus wept for Jerusalem, which will reject Him and crucify Him. We had lunch at the Israel Museum, where we also saw the model of ancient Jerusalem, which helped us to better understand what Jerusalem would have been like in the time of Jesus Christ. We visited Ein Karem, which has the Church of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist, where St. John the Baptist was born, and the Church of the Visitation, which recalled the moment when Mary visited Elizabeth and Elizabeth identified Mary as the Mother of her Lord after St. John leapt in her womb.
