On February 15, 2003 in Belgium
there was what was called the world’s biggest diamond heist. Thieves stole an estimated $100 million worth
of diamonds. They managed to by-pass 10
layers of security to steal from the diamond vault. This included a 3 ton 1-foot-thick vault
door, combination lock with over 100 million possible combinations, a nearly
impossible to duplicate foot long key, a magnetic sensor, a light senor, a
heat/motion sensor, a metal grate, and two security cameras. While I don’t promote stealing, I must admit
that I was impressed by this robbery. Listen to my homily to learn more.
